Vitamin D3 has several important functions. It increases the
absorption of calcium from food and is an immune system modulator.
Sunshine is the best source of Vit D, but not always available,
therefore Lanolin ( Vit D3 absorbed in wool via sunlight} is widely used as a D3 supplement. Cod liver oil is also an excellent source. 15 minutes sunshine can give you 20,000iu's of Vit D so 10.000iu's daily or even 20,000iu's is not too much.
